Don't have any piccies, but I've just done mine - - - What a difference!
Got the bits - bearing, bearing housing and plastic insert from tvrcarparts.com.
I would say to NOT undo the 17 mm column bolts until you have undone all the 'old' (5 off) bolts (M5) on the old bearing housing....otherwise you can't get your shoulders into the footwell! (The bible starts by saying to undo the 17mm bolts and drop the column).
The new housing from Neil(?) at tvrcarparts is a fine looking alloy jobby - but does require longer bolts to fit (37mm). (the original housing was a very tired- looking plastic thing that was quite distorted)
Once I'd fitted the bearing and housing onto the bulkhead and poked the triangular section part of the column through the bearing, I tapped the plastic insert over the column and into the inner race of the bearing using a bit of 19mm copper pipe as a hollow drift - . Connect up the UJ....using thread glue!! job done!

It is pretty straightforward.
Having said that, I seem to recall 'Colin Blues 2' posting that he had to drill the pinch bolt(s) on his UJ - -mine came out easily (just undo the plate over the triangular section and swing out of the way)
If the 5 bolts holding the housing are seized, I would imagine that would invoke a lot of swearing!! So put loads of release stuff on before tackling the job.
And ... again if I remember correctly, Colin's car originally had the housing & bearing on the wheel side of the bulkhead. This is wrong!
I feel that the way I did the job was the least fraught.
- Press the bearing into the housing (interference fit)
- Offer the assembly up to the bulkhead...and bolt up.
- Offer the end of the column (triangular) through the centre of the bearing.
- Loosely fit both 17mm bolts to hold the column.
- From the engine bay side, fit the plastic nsert/bush over the end of the column. This again is an interference fit, and needs to line-up with the triangle x-section of the column.
- Tap the insert/bush up the column & into the inner race of the bearing using the 19mm copper pipe (about 4-5" long) as a drift. The pipe ensures an even push.
- Re-connect the upper UJ- aligning with the correct 'flat' of the steering column.
- Tighten the 17mm column bolts

I thought we were going to Canterbury! Doesn't matter I could always come to Biddenden first. It wouldn't be the first time I have driven a circuitous route to my final destination.

I wasn't happy with the state of the fibreglass the the bearing carrier bolts to so I cut a light alloy plate out to go over the area. You can see it in the picture from the engine bay.
It took me a week overall waiting for bits and struggling with the UJ bolts
but some people have done it in 2 hours.
