For the first time in a year, today I did a comprehensive high-pressure wash of the chassis / suspension / exhaust / inside of the wheels. I drove in to our local self-service car wash with the roof down, and got a funny look from the chap in the adjacent bay..... Anyhow it may just be the sunshine frying my brain, but I seem to have improved the ride quality. Apart from stating the glaringly obvious (i.e. that I have dislodged several microns of dirt and crud), the bushes all got nice and wet. Does anyone recommend spraying all the suspension bushes with WD40 in the hope that enough will permeate in to keep things lubricated ? I would add that I had the upper and lower rear suspension bushes replaced last year, so does that suggest my front ones are slightly knackered ?

Do NOT spray WD40 (or anything like it) over your suspension bushes!!

Silicone Oil would be better, as this is not a petroleum derivative.

OK noted, thanks, and hand suitably smacked.
