After a couple years of resting the S now has a shiny new MOT and a lovely new set of BluRinses.

I was shamed into it when Alan461 reminded me he'd never us in the S. Hadn't realised it had been quite that long eek

My wallet is emptier and I apologise if it's my fault it's now tipping it down - grrrr. Will just have to fit the quick shift, mirror mounts, hood struts and sort all the other jobs!

Oh, BTW - check your boot drains. I suspect that before I treated S to a lovely cover some water got in, I emptied 3 bucket fulls out of the boot! Of course, I should have noticed sooner but battery off on charge so no boot release...

Summer is coming cloud9

Thanks Glen.

Getting on our act together on SCH. Hope to join you there. We'll be not long back from Le Mans so working if we can manage more than weekend.

Traditionally, the way to keep convertibles dry is to make sure the floor leaks more than the roof.getmecoat

All these MOT's are making me jealous. Took the S1 for an MOT on Saturday after 12 years off the road. Only the steering rack gaiters and pedal rubbers a fail and a random indicator which decided it was bit too much effort to work for the inspector.

There is an oil leak from the rocker covers and I think the fuel tank needs to be cleaned out as I was getting the tell tale misfire and dry running fuel pump when going around corners indicating the sludge in the off take pot thingy. I remember having the issue years ago. Think a trip to Hartlepool Radiators is in order, may even look to change out the sender unit for a top mounted one whiles it's out and get rid of the dodgy OE Stewert Warner unit out of the side.

All in all not as bad as I feared, but not looking forward to wrestling out that fuel tank.

I didn't mention the other little challenges getting it ready for an MOT or the long list of jobs to do!

But isn't that why we love 'em?
