Newly covered roof panels
Discussion
Just picked up my newly recovered roof panels for my S1.5 from DC Trim, Blackpool. They look fantastic, and completed by two top blokes Dave and Chris and their team, who all originally worked for TVR. Workshop is in what’s left of original factory, and they are underway on retrimming a number of TVRs. I am sure many guys on this forum know these guys, but just wanted to give them a shout out. Cheers fellas.
Ha ha. Just been tucked up with the motor in storage, but happy to post some next time I am up there. Quick question though - anyone have a picture of the correct seal that fits on the hood? I.e. Sits under the roof panels and goes around leading edge of the hood. I think the one on mine is wrong profile and too fat, making it very difficult to fit the roof panels?
So you don’t have one continuous seal around edge of the hood? Basically the issue seems to be since I got the car this seal sits too high, and therefore gets jammed between the edge of the roof panels on the hood side, meaning I am left with a gap hood side. The fit to the windscreen side of the panels is perfect.

I think you are talking about the seal between the roof panels and the rear loop that supports the back window. The seal normally goes under the panel rather than against the edge of the panel, if you see what I mean. The seal shouldn't prevent the panel fitting tightly against the rear loop or the windscreen surround. Here's a link to a pic showing that seal:http://www.andrewc.org.uk/tvrgit/20111030_05.JPG
