I've been looking through the newly added parts too.

My master cylinder has been overhauled and it ok but the paint on the servo is flaking off at the bottom.

I have the remote reservoir so assume it's a Saab servo. The link below shows the servo for the 'remote' reservoir arrangement but only has a TVR part number - I can't find a reference to their part number in the Alternative Parts list spreadsheet or via the Pistonheads 'Search' - can anyone confirm that this is the right one?

Thanks,

Steve

If you've caught it before any serious rot has set in I'd be buying a pot of paint not a £270 servo!

You're right!

Planning on taking it off during winter, when I fix the steering UJ's.

The MOT inspector said it looked ok but needs removal and a clean up to be sure.

Just wanting to confirm that the part is correct as I don't fancy doing the Fiesta conversion if there's an off-the-shelf replacement.

Yeah, no rush to fix dodgey steering!

First sign of play in one of the UJ's so planning to replace both and paint/replace the servo.

Can't wait to go a whole year when something major doesn't need replacing......

I don't think UJs count as something major hehe

When you replace the steering UJs, fit a rubber boot over the new ones. Generic track rod gaiters are ideal for the job and conveniently come in pairs. Being kept clean and protected from the worst of the heat extends the life of the UJs dramatically.

Thanks for the tip - I'll pick up a pair beforehand.
