What have you guys done with your soft top wings ?
Discussion
Been tidying up my S and have been wondering what to do with the side body attachment flaps on the rear folding part of the hood .
My ones are just held down by Velcro evo stuck on the bodywork and sewn into the inside of the hood , the evo stick has been applied really poorly and the Velcro quite often peels up in the summer.
I saw a picture of an S with popper studs fitted , anyone have any other ideas ?

My suggestion would be to make a folded plate to put over the gap between the inner and outer skins. You can then trim the plate to suit and attach a Velcro strip to the fabric which covers the plate and add a popper stud if needed. The plate is secured to the body by self-tappers on the inside.
A bit out of focus I'm afraid but you get the idea. Here's another...
I found the best metal to make these from was zinc. It's easy to shape and cut and readily available as soakers from the builders' merchant.

Couple of pop rivets to "assist" the Evo-Stik
How are you supposed to see the stainless pop rivets.........? Seriously though , I don't think a couple of rivets will stop the Velcro from peeling at the edges .
I think I may redo the evo stick properly and put a popper stud at the forward corner .
Quite like the separate strip idea ......
Cheers fellas so far , any other ideas welcome too .
