Morning folks, Happy Easter..

Does anyone have pictures of the v8s fuel pump arrangement from under the car and if possible i side the boot? I assume this is where the void it fills is taken from?

Many thanks

I can't find any pictures at the moment but most of the pump is tucked into the void you mention and the bracket is bolted through to the boot. To remove it you have to disconnect the fuel pipe you can see ie the one which goes to the fuel filter. Then undo the clamp bolts from inside the boot, disconnect the fuel pipe from underneath the tank and pull the whole lot through just far enough to undo the clamp on the tank side of the pump. It's a stupid job made difficult by typical TVR "design" eg "where stall we stick this?" - Oh shove it in that gap there, when it fails it will be someone else's problem". laugh

If it were me and starting from scratch I's try to find an alternative. Having the pump in such an awkward place and the fuel filter exposed to all the dirt and spray off the the road is not a good idea. I think the complication though is that the fuel pump needs to be below the bottom of the tank because it isn't designed to suck. Happy to stand corrected on that one.

It does want to be below and behind the tank, which doesn't leave many options.
