Looking to replace the flexible air duct between the filter box and the throttle assembly on my S1 (2.8)to prevent the possibility that air leakage may be upsetting fuel metering. Does anyone know if this is a standard Ford part (Sierra/Capri/Granada) or is it a TVR part.
Any input would be gratefully received.
Thanks

THIS IS NOT YOUR FORD PART. THE FORD ONE IS ONLY HALF THE LENGTH,TRY HOSE MANUFACTURER.

You could get someone like Samco to make one up for you..

Land rover series 2.25 petrol air filter to carb hoses are very long indeed. If you could get someone to measure the diameter of them (and they are similar from memory) you could buy a couple of those and cut to fit.

Seem to remember someone earlier mentioning vacuum cleaner hose (stable under suction). Might even have been Steve Heath. Suggest a search with no date limit.

I replaced mine with the standard Ford part, but extended it with a short length of metal pipe and a couple of juberlee clips. The original one was collapsing at around 4000rpm. Not a nice experience as the power died completely - just at the wrong time, usually while overtaking GTi's. The problem is now sorted and the GTi's appear as a dot in my rear view mirror once more.

Thanks for the suggestions. My fear originally was that the Ford part would be the wrong length and you've confirmed that. I'll be following up on the other suggestions.
Thanks again.
