Got the car back on Friday from the sprayshop...and it looks stunning !!
No crash damage jut an awful lot of stone chips at the front and 2 star crazes on the rear 1/4 gained due to a now ex-girlfriend with a vanity case which slid around in the boot (note to self - do not go out with any more air hostesses - done 2 now and don't seem to learn lesson. I also had clipped the rear wheel arch on the brick post outside the house and some scrote had driven into the rear cracking the GRP just to the righ of the exhaust....
Had the whole lot done...entire bonnet respray and rear quatrter and it looks fantastic.
Howards Coachworks of North Walsham did it for me. I have know Robin and Michael since I was a very young lad and they are friends of my dad from years ago so I trust them any bodywork stuff I have to do. Will use no-one else and thoroughly recommend them to anyone if you are in that area or just want a damned fine first class job done.
Had the bonnet done in 2 pack aswell..... Absolutley fantastic.
Anyone going to the VW meet at the end of the month is more than welcome to come and have alook at it. For those of you who had seen the car in the last 12 months you will know how much the front needed doing after 98,000 miles !!!
Cheers

Its a never ending process though and there are still plenty of things I would like to sort out and make better....
Its a problem balancing an every day car with trying to keep it in tip top condition aswell...
Roof off to work this morning was nice and even better is the morning drive through Rotherhithe Tunnel with that new exhaust popping, crackling and banging

If you notice on other threads, Ted has suggested useing Webshots to host your pictures. I have tried this and its easy. Being the same as you a puta nerd! I found getting the pictures on the site simple. I think I have 5 pics on there at the moment but still can't work out how to get them on the forum. I've tried the fontango way but it don't work with webshots. (still hoping that someone will work this out so I can post some on the forum)
Can't wait to see the car (have you done those bezels)
