S Club Heaven 2018: Book now to avoid disappointment!
Discussion
SCH 2018 will be held at Bywell in Northumbria on Sunday 1st July 2018
The main show will be organised by the MG Owners Club and they have graciously invited us along to share in what promises to be a great day out for all.
We have secured a large enough plot to accommodate not just our S Series cars, but also any other TVR model that the owner wishes to bring along.
Hopefully this will be the biggest and best SCH for many years!
We have also added on extra days to give us the chance to enjoy the local attractions, go for a scenic drive on some excellent roads, and a group visit to explore the famous Beamish Living Museum, an amazing place that will enthrall you.
You can choose to partake in as much or as little as you wish.
Durham is a beautiful city to visit if you've never been, and Holy Island is not too far away.
Main details of our event are here:

I recommend that you book accommodation ASAP, as places fill up pretty early in this prime tourist region. See the link for recommendations.
When you have secured your hotel/ camping pitch/ park bench, add your name to the list below.
Good luck!

Glenrobbo, Alan461 & Magpies.

For people who do not know the are this is an excellent area with lots of places to visit in both County Durham and Northumberland. There are some excellent driving roads and you are also close to the great roads on the borders of Scotland if you wanted to stay a little longer However because of the popularity of the area, esp for Hadrians Wall, Beamish, Kielder etc it can book up early. I had hoped to find a bunkhouse that several of us could use but I didn't have any luck, at least I couldn't find one free. There are cottages free, but many of their booking arrangement high season make it difficult to book say Thursday to Sunday. The first few B&B's we tried also had limited availability. (are all B&B sites a pain to use?!*). B&B prices are averaging £45 per person night (we did a little better) for a double room. Many of you coming from the better to do areas (!) may find that cheap.
Book now!!
Book now!!
Our campsite is at Bobby Shafto Caravan & Camping Park, which is very close to Beamish Museum
As well as camping pitches, they also have static caravans available for rent ( if you're quick! ) and also touring pitches available, some with electric hook-up.

When booking, mention you are a TVR owner and they will try to allocate you to our separate camping area.
Don't delay or dither, darn well do it!
Oh, and they tell me that there is a good clubhouse on site*....
* As if that makes any difference!

Glen is there any chance of posting details that don't require TVR car club membership to access them,
For the benefit of tight gits like me that do not subscribe to those hallowed portals
Dunno why you wouldn't want to be a TVRCC member, Dave, it's not that expensive and there are many benefits! For the benefit of tight gits like me that do not subscribe to those hallowed portals
But the main details are here on PH on the TVR Events & Meetings forum:
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
HTH and hope to see you sometime at this great big fun event.
More details will be announced nearer the time when things are finalised.
