Accessing V8S gearstick/remote control.

I posted this question on the TVRCC Forum yesterday, but had no response - my apologies to those who have already seen it.....

I have spoken to an expert on the Rover gearbox which is fitted to my V8S and he said that it is possible to make some adjustments to the gearbox remote control which may improve gear selection (to ensure the gear stick returns correctly to the 3rd/4th gear plane). The adjustment is made where the gear stick joins the remote control and I'm hoping that this can be done without removing the gearbox/engine.

If I remove the centre console/tunnel cover how much access is there to the gear stick/remote control? Some photographs of the transmission tunnel in the gear stick area would be helpful. There is nothing about this in "The Bible".
