V8S: Unconnected connector?

I've just had to replace a fuse, and while ferreting through the wiring under the glove box I noticed a male and female connector - unconnected. It's white in colour with x4 pins. The wires going into one are green/white, orange/white and black/slate grey. The two connectors are joined by a black/slate grey wire. I've had a look through a wiring diagram but couldn't see what it might be for. Anyone know?
