I'm now officially a TVR Owner in waiting.. specifically, waiting for the money to clear before driving away M@H's S1.5

Bit of a shame we couldn't have it in time for Pie on the Beach Tomorrow (Mrs CarZee most upset about this), but at least it gives us time to move all the shite out of the garage so there's somewhere to put it.

Marvellous

Cheers Nik - I certainly will (touch wood)

The S amazed Mrs CarZee - I guess compared to the TT, it's just much more raw*, more torque at the bottom and that sweet sweet exhaust note..

It's a sweet car - well looked after, sparingly used. Just hope it fits in the bloody garage now

*by way of Freudian Slip - I spelt that 'roar' the first time I typed it

Oh bollox, what have we done now - I have to put up with you on the sensible forums as well. I though my 'helpful advice' post would put you off

Right I'm off to get a Datsun Primula if my S is going to be devalued - anyone want a cheap V8 and an Audi.

You're a pale imitation of a cad, John, But I might soon need more power, so how much do you want for your V8S?

Tell you what - instead of spreading my unique and infectious () brand of humour to this forum, I'll merely burden it with my frequent "WTF???" questions...

Like "WTF is this bit that's just dropped off?"

Adian - for servicing & telephone advice I'd recommend Dave Batty over at Compton Nr. Guildford. A bit of a hike from your neck of the woods - about 45 mins from you, I'd say, but highly recommended.

Dave looks after my Chimaera and I can't recommend him highly enough.

PS. Great news about the 'S' - welcome to TVR ownership!

Welcome aboard Carzee (or more correctly Mrs Carzee).
I don't suppose she'll let you drive it too much, unless she wants a wine or three .

Carzee,

You'll have to join us for a beer once you've got it. The S forum can answer most questions - sometimes with the right answer. If you need a copy of the S Bible (unless M@ gets all charitable and throws his copy in) let me know.

Oh and welcome to the club.

Cheers,
JSG.

I'm looking forward to joining you chaps and chapesses for a beer, and I'm keen to hear more about your jaunt with MadCop, JSG.

I've been reading back through the S forums extensively in the last couple of days.. mmmm luvverly knowledge.. still, I'm sure once I start using the car, there'll be lots of going on

I am indeed looking for a copy of the S bible, JSG. M@H is 'attached' to his copy, so it seems inhumane to relieve him of it

Cheers.

Can't believe I've sold it

Still I'm glad it will go to a loving home ... Aidan, glad you were impressed with the little car, Havent had a chance to look at the speedo but the fast idle's gone away of its own accord... one of those little S characteristics you'll come to know and love, things appear, then dissapear..

OK who's selling me a Chimaera then.. anyone ??

Cheers
Matt.

It was a present from me Gran, bless her.. I like to keep workshop manuals from cars I used to own anyway... (sad I know) ..then when I'm 80 I can tell my grandkids about what I used to drive before I bought a flat cap, string backed gloves, and a micra...

Welcome to the wonderful world of TVR S Series ownership. Congratulations.

I have looked at this car in great detail and you've bought a good one from an enthusiastic owner. He's also a bloody good bloke. Time to stop getting all 'happy clappy'

BEWARE !

That is the sister car to mine. It should be treated accordingly. Failure to maintain and treat with respect will result in a visit.

Have fun with it !

Cheers

Mark

I'll have lots I expect...

Hopefully I'll address many of them when I get my hands on an S bible.

JSG - were you offering to help me out on that score or shall I bugger off to Steve's website?

As regards the increasingly irreverent Smifffy (aka ap_smith), would it be rude to point out that if you look back through his posts, he's been at times the most bitter and ascerbic former TVR owner we've seen here?

But if anyone was gonna get a friday car, it's Smifffy.. that sort of shit does happen to him.

Aww.. I'm gonna cry soon.... Mark you're still more than invited to call in whenever you're passing, in fact I insist .... Louise says you're still allowed to stay, even without a matching car.

CarZ.. by the way, you couldn't want for a nicer bloke than Mark to have a twin car with.. also significantly more knowledgeable than me on the S Series.

Cheers
Matt.

Yeah I've got one you can have, as long as Steve doesn't kneecap me for cutting his revenues.

Cheers,
John.
