bonnet not opening

Hi folks! Anyone ever had trouble opening the bonnet on my S3C? when i pull the handle, nothing! the cable is still attatched, all i can see i the cable attatched to a spring the is by a white pulley wheel. It doesnt feel too slack or anything. Any ideas on how to get the bugger open?

If you can get somebody to help, get them to pull the lever back and hold it - not too hard, or you WILL break the inner cable... while they hold it back, go around the car and just push the bonnet sideways from each siide, downwars, go to the front and push it back - in my case a good nudge with my bum into the side of the wing freed it up...

if you have no mates, tie the lever back with a piece of string, to the steering wheel, then do the bum-shimmy thing against the front of the car...

The cable should go round the pulley wheel. There is also an adjuster on the outer cable at the back of the bracket carrying the pulley wheel, adjusting this to take up any slack might also help
