I've just polished my wheels (well 2 of them) and they look bloody fantastic They were pretty crusty (no laquer) but a quick wizz with 1000 grade wet & dry then some auto polish and then a go with a wheel polish kit from frost and they look great. Unfortunatly the wheel nuts look cr*p. Any ideas on which ford they are from?
Thanks,
Mark

I've just bought some from Auto cross in Bracknell. The thing you have to make sure is the angle of the taper.I think it was 60 deg.The bolts are all M10.It's more to do with that taper of the wheels than the type of car they are fitted to.They were £1.50 each and do look so much better.

Justin,
I got those exhaust clamps from Autocross as you suggested and they certainly look like they'll do the job. I'll be under the car tomorrow, so we'll see how she is with grounding out after that!
Cheers

P.S. Sorry to hijack your posting Mark. Thanks for your feedback on the wheels in my other posting.
Justin,
It was handy that you mentioned them to me cos I've driven past there loads of times and never noticed it. I saw the place for old Fords too - could be very handy, as you say.
The new clamps seem to have done the trick. You can see what a state the old ones were in after about 2-3 weeks worth of scraping on the ground (sorry about the dodgy focus)...
You can see the difference in clearance between the old and new (bad focus again)...
Much better!
Cheers

If you're travelling from the A329(M), the first roundabout you come to will be the one with the Coppid Beech hotel on it. If you go straight over this (first exit) you'll see a Shell garage on your right with a little sort of slip road running next to it. If you take the first turning on your right after the roundabout that'll take you into the slip road going back in the direction you've just come. Autocross is on the left hand side just before you get back to the Shell garage.
Hope that helps.
