I am pleased to say the event is progressing nicely, with the much appreciated help from Derek (Bugsy) I seem to have cracked most areas of the day.

Firstly the money we raise will be going to fund a playground for a Childrens home called St Johns, which is close to Silverstone and is home to 6 children. The children, along with 12 others from nearby homes, will come along on the day and have a blast in a car of their choice. I am also speaking to Silverstone about the possibility of a slow lap between races, as suggested.

I have found a Food wagon that does burgers incl Veggie ones, Jacket potatoes, Crepes etc... assuming they appear to be OK, they will be there as they are keen to attend.

The trophies for the days 'Mini concourse' are being donated by a local shop County Engravers.

The polishing company will give a polishing demo, no need to volunteer your car, Derek has kindly offered his car, perks of being an organisor I guess

The prizes are also mounting up, the updated list is:

*A voucher from ACT, amount TBA
*A voucher from TVRCC amount TBA
*A £50 voucher from Leven Technology
*A set of Shiny nuts
*3 hours on the rolling road at Austec Racing
*3 hours of Mark Adams expertise (to be confirmed)
*Item of clothing from Pistonheads Merchandise.
*A polishing kit & bits of kit from The polishing Company
*A night in the Kings Arms Hotel, Chipping Camden, the Cotswolds with a meal for two.

As you can see a lot of work is going in to make the day a success, but we will need your help too in selling tickets for the raffle. Can you please start sticking your names down on here letting me know you are willing to sell raffle tickets to friends/family/workmates etc... If 50 of us raise just £50 each thats £2,500. And thats probably only selling to 10 people as most people will buy a block of five?? I would expect most people on here to buy at least 5-10 themselves as there are some great prizes! I am buying 50 tickets to start the ball rolling.

Keep checking in for the updates and lets see lots of names on this thread, dont make me come looking for you

Later

Mike

As I am relatively new to this forum, I am hoping to get up to Silverstone and meet everyone and pick up lots of ideas and tips. My S2 needs a few things doing to it, nothing major so far, so yeah my first meet and Im looking foward to it.
