Hi, simple question, where to buy and what battery for my S3?

Thanks

Nic

For future reference, LSUK (Lucas as was) do a 069 battery for £30, with a 2 yr guarantee. You can buy exactly the same battery for £60 with a 4 yr guarantee.

Got one from PartCo a coupel of months ago. About half the price, (or slightly more) of what Halfords wanted.

Do a search there have been a couple of threads about this in the past..

Hi Nic

www.parkersteve.dsl.pipex.com/sparts.asp

Lists an 069 (heavy duty IIRC).

Lucas/Yuasa are good IMHO.

Try and get one with retaining lugs on the base...
otherwise you will have to reverse the clamp to stop it sliding around and strap it down.

IIRC the 069 has the clamp and terminals the right way around, (despite Halfwits swearing that all batteries are made the other way around).

get the most powerful one that will fit with the bonnet closed (be careful of the height of the battery) and tie it in!!

Get a ratchet strap from a DIY store. Cheap, more secure, quick release and you can fit a wider range of batteries.
