Taking the S to Spain tomorrow and doing my first track day at the Guadix circuit.

Obviously I've loads of work to get finished before I go - so here I am posting this instead

See you lot in ten days or so...

(except a few of you I'll see in the Posh bar on board )

I'm back

What an amazing experience and what a wonderful bunch of people.

The S behaved impeccably during the 2000 miles we covered, in all weathers from beautiful sunny days to snow blizzards over the mountains. Some hard driving (125mph, 5th, 5000 revs) and seriously fun track day.

The S just got better and better. Didn't miss a single beat. Exhaust note kept getting deeper and deeper!

To all those who have never taken the S on a long trip or a track - do so ASAP! Watching Mark take his S round the track was one of the highlights of the trip and shows what an S (with a V6) can do in the right hands. Brilliant stuff.

Got to sort a new windscreen out tomorrow as a stone caused a four inch crack in it.

Lots of threads to catch up on I see - but too knackered tonight.

(Edited to add me on track )

Nice to have you back Adam. Sounds like a greast trip.

The photo of your car on track looks great. Is that you at the wheel?

When you've caught up on sleep, would you mind e-mailing me your paint code. My S has changed colour since it was new but looks like it is now the same colour as yours. Much appreciated.

Hi.

Yes, that's me at the wheel

The colour is Cobalt Blue. I'll find the paint code tonight when I get home - I assume it will be printed under the bonnet somewhere?

It's on the VIN plate.

Let me know how you get on with the new screen.

If all else fails, Bell Hill were breaking a couple of S series with windscreens IIRC. I suspect you may have to adopt a seated position before you hear the price though.

Just got a call - screen has been found. They'll call tomorrow when they get it to arrange fitting etc.

Off for some tinto myself now as I've got withdrawal symptoms
