just as i get my car back after the crash and steering hell i now find the engine rougher than a brilo pad and it just loves to cut out!! any ideas cause it sounds like a harley at the mo

Bad luck mate. Rough misfires and dead cuts sounds HT
related to me. Are all the leads fully home. Distributor cap still in one piece and not damp on the inside??? Check the obvious stuff first I guess. Has water got into your fuel tank when when the car has been standing?? Ummmmm, give us more info on it....I will mull it over.

well ive had this sort of thing before and its gone away on its own, but this time i want it sorted!!
the leads arent that old but i will check them,
as far as i know its been standing indoors so it wont get wet or does moisture just get in through air?
hopefully it will get done by mr man at tower view

Condensation can occur in a dizzy cap......but really I'm just guessing. Tower view idea is the way forward I'd say! Good luck

true to form the car seems ok today, go figure!

Another possibility is a dodgy throttle pot. Can't remember what they are off. When mine went it kept cutting out at low revs and felt like it was firing on about 3 cylinders.
