S3 Windscreen

Humm back to the daily commute in the good old S and just clocked up 97K but in the winter sunshine with Ra low in the sky is showing the small windscreen repair of +6yrs ago has started to micro hairline crack away from the point of impact - now boarder line MoT fail as within swept area but only apparent when sun is shining on it.

A wee while ago I saw a thread for a run of replacement windscreens but can I find it now? No chance. So 2 questions:

1. Anyone know where the thread is, and
2. (More importantly) Anyone know where I can get a new windscreen?

Not yet invoked the windscreen replacement aspect of my insurance policy but I'd like to have a Plan B for when they come back with the inevitable "Sorry unable to replace" statement.

Think someone posted quite recently that TVR Parts were showing them as available?

Glass man is reccomeded but if he's not near you or you have you'r own fitter TVR parts will sell you a screen.

I spoke to a guy from a motorsport windscreen company and he could make a heated one about three hundred pounds.
I will try and find the email with company.

I believe they have made screens for older TVR's, don't know about the S?

I purchased one from Ricky Evans near 6 years ago. fits and works a treat but was expensive as no-one else wanted one.
