Restrictors on V8S

Anyone heard of a restrictor on a V8S? Recently bought one and notice that the engine cuts at 4500rpm in 4th gear. This does not happen in the lower gears (can''t say I''ve noticed it in 5th-- legal reasons!). Other than that; great car. Wouldn''t change it for a newer model.

No, sounds like there's something wrong. Rev limit should usually be 6200 (precat) or 5600 (cat) but is the same for all gears. Perhaps you have a blocked air filter or duff fuel pump or something? Cheers, Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)

Mine did exactly the same. I changed the fuel filter and never looked back. wonderful cars the v8s by the way....
