Speedometer - trip recorder not working.

The mileage trip recorder on my S2 (electronic)has stopped recording mileage,the speedometer works ok and all of the connections (by feel) seem to be secure in the back of the dial - any suggestions as to the cause of the problem. As mentioned in an earlier thread the Tachometer also doesn't work and again all wiring seems ok and fuses are fine. Any suggestions what to look for?

Yup ---- but it may as well not be there as its not working, if it was you would still need 50/50 vision to read the numbers!!
