Hi to the owner of the nice dark blue S series parked at Trinity Court, Bracknell - you've just recently appeared on the scene. I work in the next building (Sun). I see the TVRCC sticker and since you work in Bracknell I bet you're online ...

Watch out for a Cosmos Blue Chimaera or a guy gawping at you from a Green Audi A6

Hi Trefor,

You threw me with the S444 TVR (or did you mean S[3 J]444 TVR?). I am the proud (and still excited) new owner of this S, having picked it up a week ago last Thursday from Billericay. I've got a few remedial bits to do (stone chips, wheels etc.), but I've just got the exhaust sorted so everything's a bit quieter now (but not too quiet ).

I've seen a Chimp around in the Regus spaces over the summer, but not in the Sun spaces (maybe you park it round the back?). I work at Onyx, but we've just moved over to the Regus building (long story) so I'm now using a different set of spaces (coincided with getting the S) which I can get to round the back of the building, so I'll keep an eye out for yours.

I inherited hey TVRCC sticker with the car, and I've not got round to joining yet, but will do so soon, hopefully in time for the next meet (got carpet being laid tomorrow so my attendance is required at home in the evening ).

Give me a shout if you see me in the car park, or drop me an email.

Take it easy.

Richard

Manek alert.

Someone here needing disciplining in the art of abbreviating the name of a fine car to make it look like it belongs in a zoo .

No, I've actually seen a monkey sat in the car park!

I wonder if there's any more PH'ers on here who work in Bracknell. I work in the town centre (just off the Ring), but only take the Chim in about once a week. We have an underground carpark so you won't see it unless I'm driving.

Perhaps a lunchtime beer session would be appropriate if theres any interest?

OK, J444 TVR, sorry - got carried away there.

Usually in a green Audi A6 with TT style wheels. You won't see the Chimaera this week as it's diff is being rebuilt. I nearly always park at the side of Sun's building close to the Regus parking so you'll see me.

The other Chimaera you've seen around has swapped for a black Tuscan and lives in Binfield (pass it on the way to/from work). Lucky person! Must work in the Regus building somewhere.

I guessed Onyx were moving across the road when I saw photcopiers and computer stuff being wheeled across the carpark.

JARCY - yes, lunch sounds good. Probably later next week for me now though.

Yes, I've seen the black Tuscan (TS CAN I believe). I was gutted when I turned up on the first day in my new S and there was a gleaming black Tuscan in the car park - took the wind right out of my sails!

The lunchtime beer sounds like a good bet. I can do Friday or any day next week. Need to pick a venue too I guess.

Hi Trefor / Richard(rrouse)

If you're still up for a lunchtime beer, Friday 30th would be good for me. Bracknell pubs aren't much good and I'm not that familiar with the out of town ones, but I could check out places around Binfield or Warfield if interested. Any more PHers within striking distance?

Richard, I saw you Tuesday evening whilst driving past Trinity court. You were just leaving the carpark. Your S3 looks really nice - great colour. I'm not sure what the advantage of driving off with the book open was. Some sort of air-brake perhaps!

Friday 30th sounds good to me. There's a nice pub on the outskirts of Binfield/Wokingham called the Bullfinch that's about 5 to 10 minutes from Bracknell. That's probably a good bet unless anything better turns up.

What fortunate timing that you happened to see me driving off with my boot open. I also managed to time it so that a couple of people from work were standing outside at the time - how to look like a complete divvy in one easy step! Luckily I only made it round the corner in the car park before I saw my new OTT spoiler in the mirror.

I am pleased with the colour. There's quite a few stone chips that I need to get sorted (going to try a company called Chips Away) and I'm going to get the wheels refurbed, then I'll be happy.

Let me know about next Friday.

Richard

Hi Justin,

Is that up by Kwik Fit? If so I use that road as a cut through from the Twin Bridges roundabout down onto the Western Road to get into the back of Trinity Court. My S is my everyday car so you may hear me sometime (not always in the office).

Looks like we may have a happening next Friday - you'll have to join in if you're available.

Richard

P.S. I saw your posting on one of the other threads (about side repeaters I think) but couldn't see a picture of your S on the Berks site.

Richard,
It's the building with the bluey glass. Can't say I have noticed you drive passed, but I have seen a couple of Griffs and Chims flying around. My car is on there, have another look. It's not my everyday car,as I'm a mobile A/C engineer, just happen to be there on Friday for a wedding.I'm on site on most days, especially Fridays,so a meet up should pose no problem

I know the Bullfinch - it's opposite the Citroen garage on the road to Twyford from Binfield isn't it? Nice enough place and as good as anything else close to Bracknell. I should be able to make Friday too.

That's the one. How does 12:30 sound. Beat the lunchtime rush. I'm happy to give you a lift down (unless you're in your Chimp, then it'll be a tough call!). For anyone else who's up for a (Justin, Jarcy etc.), let us know whether you want to meet there or elsewhere.

Richard

P.S. I clocked you in the A6 earlier. I wasn't just doing the "sh1t someone's waving - better wave back " thing! Like the alloys by the way. I spotted them at lunchtime on my way out.

Hi guys,
Just got back from an extended weekend away .
The Bullfinch sounds fine.
Lets call it a date - 12:30pm this Friday 30th.
Can any more PHers make it for a lunchtime beer ? The more the merrier.
Cheers, Jarcy.

12:30 it is then. I'm not sure if my Chimaera will be back by then (it better be). I'll let you know ...

I saw you were speaking with someone else so I didn't stop for a chat last night. I knew you'd twig who it was gawping at you given a few moments

Everyone still on for a at lunchtime?

Trefor, can you get to your PH email during the day? If so, I'll email you my mobile number and you can give me a shout when you're leaving the building. Have you got your Chimaera today, or would you like a lift?

Jarcy/Justin do you want to meet here or at the pub?

Anyone else, click here to see a map for the Bullfinch.

Yes, I'm online at work - it is Sun you know! not Dell (used to work there ... they even stopped hotmail access).

Thanks for the offer but I'll make my own way there as I need to go to the bank en-route. No, the Chimaera is still waiting for the diff to come back from the reconditioners. I'm getting a bit few up now - it's been over 2 weeks.

Yeap, I'll see you there.
I brought the Chimaera in today. When I got in the seat was in the wife-driving-home-from-pub position. Realised I haven't driven her for nearly 2 weeks!
Felt just having a new toy Trefor - you'll love it when you get yours back.

Guys,

It was good to meet up over a . We'll have to arrange something else again when we've got the full fleet available.

Take it easy,
