Who went to Duxford then?
Discussion
Well I was there. No sign of Johno (again) found his car (again) no sign of any pistonhead S2 people. mind you, loads of S2s in the field though. Never seen so many TVRs before in one place, what a good day. Same old problem, took a load of dosh to splash out on shedload of bits, but nothing much in spares or anything that I would want at this stage. I think if I was a businessman I could have made a killing on Air filters, oil filters, brake pads etc, etc, etc. Perhaps someone out there can explain why they don't sell heaps of this stuff on these days.
Anyway, all thanks to Cambridge area for all they did to arrange this (if it was them) WELL DONE!
Well, Were you there!
gadgit.

I was there with my youngest, like you I went armed with a wallet of spare cash for anything that caught my eye, yep came home with the same money.
I think carol at the TVRCC stand must have made a killing on umbrellas though .
Like you I spotted Johno's in the mist of the S's there but still struggle to put faces to cars though.
Could not believe that there were probably more V8S's than other S's in the car park.
Saw PetrolTeds S4 depart with, as AA Gill would say 'the blonde' in the passenger seat, suprised you didn't have a stall Ted you could have made a killing .

I was there in my S1, it was a bit constipated and only passed a Taimar and a Wedgie that spun on the start bend.
Nice pic of mine on the Cambridge Club website, their wide angle shot shows my tonneau cover holding out a couple of pints of rainwater. Still none got in and the roof stayed in the boot.
Well done all from Cambridge, a lot of hard work and planning obviously went into this year and you got it all SORTED. Many many thanks.

Yeh I was there...
Car should look a little better once the bonnet is resprayed in 10 days.
Well done to Cambridgeshire Region for organsing the event. I seemed spend an awful lot of time in the Duxford museums. At least as much as walking around Mania.
Got talking with Richard Beaumont the MD of TVR Finance Services about pakages and deals etc etc Then he produces this....
No 97 of 100
Griffith 500 Special Edition.
Moonraker Black with Black Interior
Spun alloy dash
Unregistered ....
etc etc etc
My ideal Griffith is sitting at TMS with a price tag of ...... wait for it ........ £37995 !
Arse, and the deal were all very sensible aswell ! Begger, feck and double feck !!
I shouldn't talk with these people, and no I haven't signed on the dotted although I am seriously tempted.....it is over priced due to its production number and I need to buy a Griffith and a house as I am too big to sleep in a Griffith !!!
D'oh !!
Sorry to have missed people again. We will have to sort it out so we can get together at some point Gadgit..
Cheers

T'was a great day particularly when the sun came out. Where were the drinks vans though? They could have made a killing. There were only so many lemonade lollies I could eat!
Managed 140 mph on the straight in a Griff 500. I wasn't driving the beast (I was side saddle as unfortunately the beast wasn't mine). Still, I'm sure a nice Special Edition Moonraker Black Griff 500 with Black Interior , Spun alloy dash etc could top the 150mph...hey Johno???
ps Cheers for the loan of the umbrella.
