Wiper blade probs

Got caught out in a rain shower yesterday and had to use the wipers for the first time.Found that the blades were short,so as to not clear anything im the middle of the screen!!! Is this normal or can anyone give me the 'usual' length of the blade so as to obtain the correct length.Cheers

Why are you looking through the middle of the screen?
It's raining! Your trouser legs are "moist" you feel the odd raindrop running down your forehead, the blower is struggling to clear the screen and your only concern is the wipers????
Get some some Gortex boots and neoprene gloves, put your foot down, the screen self clears @ 80+.

Tony,LOL!!! I'm looking through the middle of the screen,because there are so many arses on the road,they drive down the middle of the road everywhere!!!

hi justin,
the wipers are 16 inch ones.i think this will be about the maximum lenght as any longer and they will over-ride the screen at the top and wipe your paintwork
i use that rainex stuff as well and find it very good(imho)

Kev,cheers for finding out.The wiper blades that are on it are 16 inch also.Wonder if the arm length is the problem? I have rain-x'd the screen and fog free'd the inside also and that keeps it clear,just with the sudden downpours recently need to clear the screen.Is mine the only car that hasn't leaked yet?
