how much and where they from, is it true that there from a chevette???? please help may need a new one

Hi, if I can be of any help.... the rack is made for TVR only, I understand they are very hard to locate new - having just fitted one to my V8S. You are welcome to my old rack if its of any use - it only had slight play on the NS drum stick

The rack is a mutated Chevette rack with some bespoke TVR parts. I had mine replaced at Tower View. They do an exchange service for reconned jobs.

Don't remember the cost. If you find a recon place they should be able to recon it for you. If you go to Tower though its just a straight exchange and much less hastle.

Started out from a Chevette (allegedly but I have also heard of Viva, Sierra, Escort and a Nova and when was the last time you saw a Chevette...) and then were modified heavily by TVR. Best bet is an exchange or a recon from 175 to 350 ish depending on who/where and when.

I think i actually bought the last ever new S1-2 rack last year (correct me if I'm wrong ) I got it from HHC who found it at the back of a dusty shelf... I'd been ringing round everywhere, and everyone else said I'd never get one and I'd need to re-cpn my original.

Hindsight would suggest I shouldn't have thrown he old one away.. sorry guys
