Ted,

What spring rates are you running on the grey beastie ? Doesn't seem to roll a great deal in the video footage of Folembray last year.....

Must have been early in the day!

I've not idea what settings I've got. To be honest they're probably a bit shagged by now.

Are they rated by pies ??

Rears are 30 Beef & Onion but the front and a more serious 50 Steak & Onion.

Bushes are specially made by Guiness ??

Now you're thinking along the same lines as me (get help quick) - as I posted, 22 Guiness at the rear and 20 pies at the front.

I haven't got a clue what mine are either Ted

It's a minefield!!!
Standard rates are usually around 190Lbs front and 210Lbs rears.
My car has had the full treatment, 700Lbs front and 500Lbs rears. There is a lot of 'in-between'. It is important to match dampers to spring rates though, and even with my extreme setup the ride is firm but comfortable, and the car sticks to the road like sh1t to a blanket!

You will also need to work out the length as well. Yes you can adjust the ride height with the spring but you may find the car then unloads the spring on full droop and comes loose or rides on the bump stops. Neither of which are good.

Seeingh more and more of this as people customise the suspension without doing their homework. and yes I got it wrong on the 520 as well. Needed helper springs to solve the problems...

In my experience AVOs don't suit this particular car. Not to put too fine a point on it, it's worth spending a little extra and getting some good quality dampers if you get my drift.

If you're thinking about changing spring rates or ride height then unless you know what you're doing get expert advice and get springs and dampers as a set to match the car. Most TVR specialists will offer a standard mildly uprated road suspension package which will suit most people. Think twice about making more drastic mods unless you are confident you know what you're doing. There is a lot more to suspension setup than meets the eye, and it's all too easy to mess it up.
