What is the alternator belt on the V6 from? I''ve been told it is the PAS belt from a Sierra 2.8 (87-89). Anyone know any part numbers? Roy

I just took my old one into a motor factors, they measured it and gave me a new one. -- Mark

Mark, I just want the belt, not the set. Were both the belts you bought identical? According to Ford, the two belts in the kit should be different - one is for the alternator and the other is for the PAS. Roy

As I was aware the alternator belt is from the 2.8 Capri and going to Ford and asking them for a replacement will not work as the alternator arrangement is different. I thought the bible told of the origins of this belt. If not your local TVR place will be able to supply you with one. That's what I did. The difference in cost is negligeble.

TVR Mark, I bought a Quinton Hazell replacement belt QBA 1200 (1200mm) for just over a fiver. See you at the beer fest, Roy
