S3 restoration
Discussion
I am after some friendly TVR advice, as i currently own a TVR S3 and have done for a number of years.
Unfortunately for a couple of years she has stayed dorment being kept outside covered but gradually deteriating because of this, but never the less still loved. My wife of about the same amount of years has said she must go but i cant let this happen as valuation wise the smile she gives me when she is on the road is far more of value and the amount i would receive if sold, therefore I am trying to find a local TVR tinkerer in the kent area that is recommemeded and trusted to either tell me to cut her a drift or its worth while and carry on with the project (talking about the car not the wife).
I have contacted taylor tvr of the Maidstone area who were very helpful but as they deal with the greater value tvr's i am reluctant to go down that route. All i am after is some one i can trust to give me an honest answer as i would love to get her back on the road where she deserves to be!
Any advice would be accepted with gratitude.

Hi...is that Mr Sweeting? or sweetie to your friends...
Can you briefly summarise what you think needs doing as it could be quite minor to get it on the road...there are a number of us who would get thrown out of a concours competition but just love to drive them...
Also where abouts in Kent, as there may be others near by who could take a look and advise...check out the map:http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=11&t=1287085&i=0&mid=63289&nmt=TVR+S+Series+Ownership+Map
Then tell your wife that you will take her on a tour around Europe in it next year...
Good luck.

I am in rochester, in regards to the work i know the engine will need looking at but more importantly i am woried about the chassis as if that is to far corroaded then i know it can be an exspensive job and probably out of my price range to do up.
In regards to other responce it wont be the wife packing it will be me and i wont get far in a tvr that doesn't move.
