Heath,
Bridgestones seem to be the preferred choice for most owners, the main issue being whether or not to go with a 55 profile instead of the original 60.
The original fit RE71s are still available although the tyre has been superseded by later S02 and S03 models in 55 profile.
There is also much debate on whether to keep the original Z rating - a must for the V8 but considered by some not necessary for the V6.
If you do a search on tyres you will find many other threads to browse through.
Cheers,
JSG.

RE720's - brilliant. Brought out to replace the RE71's which were over a decade old.
Great in the wet I've found and really progressive when at point of break away.
Like JSG says though there are hundreds of posts about tyres on the forum and a lot of it is down to personal taste.
Cheers

RE720's seem slightly better than RE71's, but I've had the spring/dampers changed, so it's not easy to tell.
I decided to stick with 60 profile rubber and keep my exhaust.
If you still want RE71's, they may still be available at Micheldever Tyres - 01962 774437.

I recently fitted Bridgestone Turanza EB30(?) to my 1990 S2. They seem fine inflated to 24psi front and 25-26psi rear. Presumably they are intended for comfortable road use. Certainly the ride is softer than the MXV Michelins previously fitted which suits me given our dreadful road surfaces. Does anybody else have experience of these tyres? What do you think of them?
