First eurotour breakdown SOS - V8S throttle cable bolt!

Drove into work this morning (central London) as I am leaving at 3pm for Folkestone.

1/2 mile from work the throttle peddle fell to the floor completely.

Opened the bonnet and the bolt the links the throttle cable to the throttle arm (?) has disappeared.

Fortunatley I was able to secure it with a cable tie but there's no way it's a robust solution.

Can anybody help by bringing a replacement nut / bolt to secure it properly? All this assuming I can actually get to Folkestone successfully.

I'm going to call breakdown cover now and see if they can bring something along also.

Looks about 6mm ?

Even in London it can't be that hard to buy a nut 'n bolt?

There's one hardware shop in the city - mostly they sell paint but I'm gonna give them a try!

Try a bicycle shop. At least they might know what a bolt is!

The other year I tried three bike shops in London to get some dome nuts. None of them knew what a dome nut was.

That loctite is a laugh as well, should be on the thread, not on the outside ;-))
You could have saved the loctite, the two nuts act as a "lock nut"

You do know that Loctite is anaerobic? As in it won't cure if it's still subjected to oxygen

Two nuts are better than one though!
