Knocking in the sump area revisited
Discussion
I have checked the exhaust and this does not seem to be banging against the sump, any other ideas.
Also if I cannot find what the problem is are there any reliable/professional mobile mechanics in the Middlesex area who understand TVR S2 and will be able to advise me what the problem maybe before I have to resort to taking it into a garage.
One desperate TVR owner

If it aint something knocking against the sump from outside, it could be something trying to get out from inside. Maybe it's big ends, although I would keep looking for an external cause.

P.S. When the engine is under load it will move a bit, and if an engine mount has sheared for instance, then the movement will be huge in comparison.
