s2 for mot after 13 years locked away

Hi took my s2 2.9 for its first mot since 2001 where it had sat in barry's garage until i acquired it in November.

since then all i have done is new fuel pump.fuel filter. fuel pipe and new piper air filter.
cleaned all the flaky bits of the chassis and waxoiled.

first time i tried to start it it fired and ran smooth as you like

drove it in for its first mot in 13 years to see what it would fail on and came away with a pass and no advisory's
even all the electrics did what they should.

Great news .. If it was me I'd be thinking about a new set of rubber before pushing it too hard! Hope it gets the chance to be used a bit more and you get a good chance to enjoy this summer.

the tyres are brand new bridgetone potenza. it was in a garage with no windows so no uv damage and blocked.
me and the mot tester checked them out and they are all perfect.

its a right hoot to drive as well made more interesting by me being only 5ft6" just about see over the dash.

one thing though where would i get a good deal on new roof and door rubbers ?

Very good news, another one on the road!. Lively colour too, one of my favourites.
I am also 5'6". First of all I found the seat had sagged quite a bit, frankly because the base construction is pretty poor. Secondly, when I had the seat out, I had some 1" stainless spacers made and used longer stainless skt hd screws to refix the seats (I also put stainless plates underneath to spread the load). Well worth the trouble.

Oh thats sounds a good fix ive just had a look. And the seat as about had it well the base anyway.
so that mod might happen sooner rather than later.

All tyres, the rubber hardens with age and loses grip
Found out the hard way on a bike not so long ago and nearly ended in tears
