Another one bites the dust

I am a frequent gassing voyer who don't post much, but i thought i'd share my admiration for the strength of our beloved 's'
Some young lad with trailer in tow gave me 7 meters to decide what to do with myself at 60 mph, as he pulled out of a minor to major x-roads. my choice was to hit his trailer head on, granted there wasn't much time to choose, but any head on you can walk away from is a good one.
Anyway, with the whole front of my s2 dissapearing from existance, not to mention a concrete bus stop and a wiltshire cornfield, (and the said young lad's trailer) i was amazed as i rolled out of the cockpit that i was in one piece, with only a 'standard' s.
After 12 years of life since leaving the factory i thank Blackpool for building them strong, GRP or not
So for all of you with the rest of the summer and the 's' still parked outside i wish you all DHC pleasure and an indian summer.
Now where is that kid's insurance details...

Glad you walked away Neil.
I recently rolled my Impreza so I know how it feels, although I suspect that in my case the finger points squarely at myself
Having not had a crunch for over 10 years, it's quite a wake up call from the comfort and seclusion of the car cabin to have a big 'Bang' and lots of glass everywhere. Not to mention having to exit in the upside down position.

cheers all, am afraid i will have to try to stretch the funds to an s3c, will miss the old girl but will cherish her memory with another tiv, all i can hope for at the moment is not to get the shaft from the insurers,
there may also be some decent bits from the s2 to salvage, i'll keep you posted.
