Sealing the bulkhead cables

Has anyone done something other than the sticky gunk that TVR originally used for stopping the weather getting in via the electrical cable holes in the bulkhead?
Thoughts are :-
A big old well fitted grommet - still need sealing though.

An electrical bulkhead connector - would need wiring in; obviously perilous

or ?

good question........I'm at the point in my build to require these holes sealed. There are no large grommets on my loom so don't know what was there.

Have you seen Sugru, it can be moulded and seals pretty much anything

Worth a go for bulkhead sealing, interesting to see if it survives under a TVR bonnet for long periods but little to lose.

The trade recommendation for an autobody sealant, and I have used it very successfully, would be Sikaflex. Fairly readily available at Car Factors especially those who supply the car body trade. There are now several alternatives on the market but I am assured that if you ask for Sikaflex they will know what you are after. Take care to get the right colour!

I've also researched the Sugru product and it looks like it could be a 'wonder' product for us petrolhead boys..

I bought some recently...didn't have anything I needed it for I just wanted a play. Brilliant stuff, just need to find things to mend with it now

Must be something in the 'mindset' of someone who runs a TVR. I also read this, ordered some, and am now thinking what I can mend...
