I've decided to restore the suspension on my s3. I cleaned up the wishbones and will be replacing the shocks and bushes. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to replace the anti roll bar drop links to improve the handling? If so,where can I buy them?

I replaced mine with rose joints a couple of years ago. This reduces roll as there is no rubber to compress before the bar comes into operation. I bought the joints from McGill Motorsports. Basically, I copied Phillpots' set up. I am sure that he could advise as well.

It isn't simple because we made up the links from standard pieces rather than buying a bespoke kit. I will see if I have the references tomorrow. There are ready made rose joint kits but these tend to be more expensive.

This thread should help - there are some photos and a list of parts. Please note that you have to reduce the diameter of the anti roll bar ends to fit the M12 joints.

Hope this helps.

Or use 1/2" unf threaded joints and bolts, end of roll bar can be tapped 1/2" unf. (or stay with the original washer and split pin set up)

Might have to drill hole in wishbone out to 1/2"?

Nice Mike. Where did you get those?

Trying to source rose joints at the moment, but prices seemed to have rocketed.

Always nice to revive an old thread!
When we eventually have no rain/storms, the next job on my list is to replace the drop links on my S3. Having read this thread, I am not keen on modifying the Anti-Roll bar so will probably pay through the nose for Racing Green drop links. I have wondered about protecting them from the elements, so the Boots that Phillpot has identified look a good bet. Only problem is, I can't find anything similar on ebay. Anyone got a source I can use?

Thanks
