Right, Samy is severly testing my patience.
Changed the fuel filter today. Wix WF8027 item. Slightly longer than the removed item but unions appear to be the right size.
Got it in place and nipped the fittings gently and primed the system. Leaks at both ends. Nipped the unions up and checked again. Pump side still leaked. Can't tighten any further and yes I renewed the copper washers.
it leaks enough for the banjo to be wet but it's not spraying out.
Do the collective think it'll be alright for a few weeks until I get the car in the garage for the disc conversion?
ETA The fuel was a pretty dirty, brown so a filter change was clearly a good thing. Hopefully last long enough for a stainless tank to be installed.

Coulsdon Autos had them on the self though. I'm pretty sure it's the washers though as the fuel is seeping from them. Although, it could be the banjo, the fuel line, the washers, the filter or a combination of all four.

Could be a bit of grit, or rust flake from the fuel, on the banjo joint faces.They need to be scupulously clean to seal properly.
You could try annealing the copper washers to soften them as described in the sump plug thread. And I would recommend a smear of "Well-Seel"or similar to help. But don't overdo it.
And DON'T go driving it with a fuel leak Stewart.

You'd understand if you'd changed those engine mounts yourself.

The copper washers that came with the filter have a wider flange although the central hole is the same size.
I cleaned up the old washers and re fitted them.
Same procedure of tightening a bit at a time and boom. No leaks.
I suspect that there was some corrosion that the wider washers were contacting so not closing fully. Wasn't a huge leak just seeping. I'll check it when the rear discs are fitted.
