Steering column cowling
Discussion
Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement steering column cowling (top and bottom) ?
It's a few years old, but this thread indicates it's from a Ford Sierra:

Steering Column Plastic Cowl - Ford Sierra 1982 to 86 Black trim
Upper - FINIS Code 6155169 Part No.83-BB-3533-BAW
Lower - FINIS Code 6155171 Part No.83-BB-3530-BAW
Mine is really in a bad way and there are only so many botches it'll handle.

Might be worth trying this guy, he has a simply massive stock of obsolete Ford parts. Whether he can find them in his warehouse is another thing, it is an absolute alladins cave!

Having lost this auction, I'm still on the hunt for the bottom cowling:

Yes it 'could' be legit. These guys certainly know what they have, as they are not prepared to end the auction early for a BIN price and are drop feeding the market.
I'll take my chances on the next one coming up.
Peter - thanks for the link. Unfortunately (and typically), there are tons of Mk2 Sierra cowls available. It's the Mk1 that remains elusive.

Stuart, try Stephen ( Ste ) Boardman at "Sierra's 'R' Us" in Chorley, Lancs. ( If they are still going, )
Tel 07989186471
I got some bits there last year, very pleasant to deal with and fair prices.
Sorry, been searching, but I've only just found his number.

Like you - looks and sounds extremely dodgy. The price is simply ridiculous
Click on - View original item - report item - lisiting practices - fradulent listing practices - seller is using other accounts to inflate irem price.then "Report"
I'm not sure Ebay take any notice of these reports but if everyone on here did it today or tomorrow it might register with it.
If you look at the "bid history" there are lots of different bidders, irregular amounts etc. etc.
Just like Sherpa front indicators, if someone is looking to get their Sierra Cozzie "mint" they'll pay the price.
The seller deals in obsolete parts so quite likely he has more than one but didn't mention it because price may have held back as buyers hoped to get next one cheaper. Now the price has been set he can now offer you another for the "market price"!
Who was it bought my "spare one"? can I have it back please
