Rear disc conversion brackets
Discussion
Got mine from 3GE Components but they may be out of business now?
They put the caliper at "9 o'clock" rather than "12 o'clock" as they are on the V8s... makes brake bleeding a little awkward!
Have a Google search around kit car rear disc conversion or similar, sure you'll find something

Here's one to get you started.
Oh, so if you have all the original Ford gear you're good to go?
I only ask as I've a full set here from a Sierra, but haven't got round to trying to fit them to the S1 yet! When we get S' in the workshop, we've never been asked to retro-fit discs to one, so it was something I was never sure of.

Hi - no - you will still need the bracket. I only ask as I've a full set here from a Sierra, but haven't got round to trying to fit them to the S1 yet! When we get S' in the workshop, we've never been asked to retro-fit discs to one, so it was something I was never sure of.

Is it just me getting confused?
You either need the "kit car"caliper conversion bracket or the correct hub carrier from the appropriate Ford or a Chimaera/Griffith (or obviously a V8S).
I bought all my bits complete with the hub carriers from a guy modifying a Griff, however I didn't use the hub carriers because they take a different size pair of bearings and I had not long since fitted new anyway (and have a spare set), so the brackets made sense to me.
These are "available" if you want to do it properly

That's what I'd assumed - I've just got the original Ford caliper mounts. You either need the "kit car"caliper conversion bracket or the correct hub carrier from the appropriate Ford or a Chimaera/Griffith (or obviously a V8S).
