Anyone want to share twin room for Burghley w/e gathering?
Discussion
I have a twin room booked for me ( Thanks Barry ! ) at Holiday Inn Express PE2 6HE for 11/ 12/ 13th April 2014 for the Burghley TVR Gathering weekend.
I'm told it's approx 8 miles from Burghley House, so very handy.
Two nights B&B costs £104 * for the room, so if anyone wants to cough up £52 on arrival and share, it's available, first come, first served. No funny business mind !
( I'm a married man )
N.B. Earplugs and a gas mask recommended.

- Price correct at time of this posting.

Sounds to me like an ideal raffle prize for a TVR event - A night locked in a room with Glen would be a big draw I'm sure.
Would I need to bring my own peacock?

Haha Ray, good idea but not too many events before the season opener. And I won't mention how I've seen the way you struggled with your huge inflatable last year

I am not interested in the room, but l am sure a willing volunteer will be along soon. Maybe you should put a picture up of yourself and a profile to help your future room m8.
. All in good taste.
I've posted a nice profile pic of myself on the 'Barn Farm Birchover- calling Glenrobbo' thread on here.
. All in good taste. But I would warn any applicant that there will be strictly no horseplay.

Bump!
Would all those interested please form an orderly queue ( & no fighting guys!! )
No need to be shy.
Don't miss this golden opportunity, you don't even need to bring a tent on this one & it's mostly peacock- free.
If there are no S-men that would like to share accomodation, I'll post this on the General TVR Forum.

Sort of depends on your tastes really
You'll be informed about the initiation ceremony in Calais

Don't worry. If you look at the people in the Gentlemens Touring Section (I was going to say 'members' of the GTS but you may have construed this incorrectly) then you should have no fear. We have all been initiated - myself, Glen, Barry, Joe, Chris et Al and you will see a perfectly normal bunch of TVR owners..............

Should I be worried in Europe.
I dunno Si, but I'm starting to get a bit worried myself now.
Have I posted this in The Lounge by mistake?

Thank heaven my pink onesie has a built-in triple maximum security system.
Spoons? No cutlery fetishists need apply thanks, I'm a married man with three kids.

ds!
ETA: Tony, I've yet to meet a TVR owner who is normal.
But I suppose 'normal' is quite a subjective adjective. ?

Thankyou Han for your kind suggestion, but despite my high regard for peacocks, I'm afraid Frank Thornton ( who played the part of Capt. Peacock ) passed away in March last year, so would not really be a suitable room-mate. At least he was a straight gentleman of good character ( ex R.A.F.
), unlike some of those suggested by my so-called "mates" on here

Oh very sorry to hear he passed away, a real British gentleman he was ! At least he was a straight gentleman of good character ( ex R.A.F.

Capt. Peacock and friends were also very popular in Holland some time ago ;-)
Your "peacock free" remark made me think of him..
