Breakfast Meet
Discussion
Who is free for a breakfast meet on Saturday 1st Feb - weather permitting ?
We could meet at a New Venue TurboTony has suggested (and I've been to, too). It's the Vale Cafe between Bidford and Evesham.

It would give us a nice run out and it's got a good sized car park (hopefully without officious old ladies)
Meet about 9.30?
RSVP (Which is an old fashion way of asking you to say you'll come so I don't feel like knobby no mates !!)
Glenn - Balaclava's are optional !!

Hi Niiige,Balaclavas should be mandatory at this time of year.
They're not just a fashion accessory you know

Don't know if I can make this breakfast meet due to family commitments,
but hope to hook up with you guys soon.
What's this about viscious old ladies?

We got "told off" once by a lady from the flying school for clogging up the car park, even though we were paying customers at the café (which shares the car park) !

Think it's that weekend I've promised to help my daughter with some tiling so may have to give this one a miss unfortunately

From the flying school you say?
Shirley you could have left enough space for her broomstick?
You're lucky she didn't turn all of your S's into Chims

I remember the Wellesbourne Incident, have not been back since. ( scarey )
Hoping I can make it to Vale on the 1st, will be good to catch up.
Having a few intermittant electrical issues, but must get sorted soon.
( Embarrassing breakdown in Stratford town centre last saturday afternoon, caused grid lock outside the council offices !!! )

It may become an international incident, two foreign coaches tried to get past and ended up unable to go forwards or backwards until I managed to get the S started and moved, I couldn't even get out they were so close to my!! door and the parked cars the other side blocked my exit...

The best H&S feature of an S in an emergency situation is the ability to leap to safety through the vast egress aperture above you........Oh, hang on a minute Mike........
Don't tell me you had your roof on ?

Well mmmmmmm, how can I Say this without looking like I was wimping out with the roof on ??
.
Ok I give in the roof was on.....

The rain must have been positively torrential.Poor Mike, no wonder you were having electrical problems in floods that deep.
But it's easier to bale out the water with the roof off.........

All sorted, even fitted the short stalk seatbelts for added comfort. On road test drove to the roundabout just beyond the Vale services, in a brief break in the hailstormms. Found a very uneven surface on the wide section of the A46 over the brow of a long hill bottomed out at speed ( "60mph" honestly ) near the turnings for Winchcombe OUCH ! All ok but sounded like the exhaust is a little thinner metal now..... Worth watching out and keep nearer the centre than the sides on that section !
The drive reminded me how much fun these cars are, top down, wind in the eyebrows, pushing on !!

Good work Mike - let's hope the weather isn't too inclement ! If it is, we could do with some sort of warming and protective head gear ......... Something that protects the head and neck...........in orange.......it would need a name..........something that rhymes with molten lava maybe ???
A glennaclava ?
A glennaclava ?

Be very careful my young 3-eyed apprentice.A glennaclava ?
Do not tinker with dark forces unless you fully understand the implications of what you are doing.
I will not allow you to upset the balance of the cosmic continuum until the moment of judgement is here and I deem you worthy of the responsibility.
It's only got one 'n' by the way.
I couldn't afford two.
Try a trapper's hat.

I have my furry deer stalker and mittenless fingers
at the ready... Just hope its not too wet ..
Is it just the three of us or have we some lurkers that have not "come out" yet..
Looking forward to breakfast.
Have I got the right place, the directions state that it is just before the A44 roundabout on the Evesham bypass,
I thought it was the one further on, near Beckford on the A46 to Cheltenham/Tewkesbury, big Texaco petrol station with a truck stop..
