Anyone got one or tried one? I quite enjoy washing the car but can't be doing with all that chammying malarkey afterwards so is this the answer to my prayers?

Was thinking plumb it in with its own feed and separate hose rather than keep plugging in/taking out.


Water is not too bad around here but does leave marks (unlike when I worked in Coventry, waste of time washing the car at work) so reckon filter life would be pretty good

I have to chammy dry the TVR, I just love the shine on all those curves, now she is finally sprayed, but my daily driver just gets a bucket and sponge then left to dry, but I use rain water from the butt I attached to the garage, built for the "S" , which does not smear or leave dribble marks. I also wash my OH's and daughters cars in the samw way,my girls just don't want to wash or vacuum their cars.

Sorry Austin, but I think it's far better to spend that sort of money on Eurotour petrol.
Or beer.
Or both.

Waste of money! I use tap water then dry off straight away with a microfiber towel.

Water butt water here too. The daily driver doesn't even get chammyed, but still does not show any streaks or smears.

Nice idea indeed, but I am definitely with Glen on this one! Money in the tank first. Anyway, my poor neglected daily driver would probably die of shock if it was washed, never mind washed in filtered water!

Gents...I have been thinking about the cleaning of the car as well. However, my idea is not for keeping spots off the paint. As we all know that the chassis is known for rust, mainly from crud getting on it and cannot easily remove. I was thinking of making a spray bar system that you would basically slowly drive over and would spray the entire underneath of the car...maybe better money spent...

I did use a cheapo version gizmo that avoided watermarks - it was nice to not have to leather down but it only lasted a short time before it died.

Did make a quick clean (only sort I do!) much easier.
