I`ve had my S for a few years and because of the very distinct sound, it`s called "the growler" However, all of my instruments have TVR on the face except the clock, this has Tim on it. Tim the TVR doesn`t sound right to me despite what my lads say hehe So, come on you S owners, have yours got names laugh

'Naming cars is for girls'.....oh, sorry, I read that as naming cars after girls!!
I certainly refer to mine in the female gender. Given the amount of time needed to prepare, the pampering 'she' receives, the attention 'she' gets from other road users, the occassional tantrums 'she' has, and the pleasure I get from handling 'her' as she would like....need I go on???

Mine is called Niggles, though my grandson used to call it my "Fwawwi" until I put him right. Now it's my "teeveearrrrr"

He was 5 yesterday, and is the only kid in his school who can not only hear when grand-dad goes past the playground, but recognises the noise and yells out "Hi Grand-dad!!". No way can he see Niggles through the school hedge. The benefits of a decat.....

Harvey, because on a woohoo run it's like sticking two fingers up to modern, start-first-time, don't-leak-in-the-wet, comfortable, reliable, quiet, fast modern cars.......... although I do have one of those as well

Despite being current custodian of Gerald, I've never gone a bundle on car names, and never referred to them as he or she. I'm afraid it's normally "the TVR" - boring!

I do apologise for my absence chaps, I've been away paragliding ( only twice, it's expensive on my small pension! ) in Turkey.

As for car names, with a reg. of -ELY, what else could it be but..........

Yeah Baby! Very British, like Austin Powers!
The Austin badge also serves to confuse the unwary continental types who think it's a Triumph wink

I was toying with the idea of a nice V8S, which I was going to call "Elvis, the King" or " 'King El " for short.
But I have nowhere to keep it frown

I'm surprised there aren't a lot more S's with names, because there are some very interesting PH handles out there.

Watching a discussion re steamships on 'the Onedin Line' earlier, someone described one as a 'Perambulating Hulk'
Thought that would be a good name for my Accord Estate.
ETA didn't realize this was a tvr thread, found it via Google.
