G--ALE was an S2. Last I heard it had been written off or very badly damaged. Had it for nearly a year before getting PH's V8S and then going for the Griff. As for the mirror, I can honestly say as it was one of the cars I owned (purely for research you understand
)that while in my posession, it has always had a full symetrical compliment of mirrors. Steve

Despite me writing the thing off. Hit a tree and a lamp post after a tyre blowout on an raised road and fell off the bank sideways. Hit the lampost on the rear and ripped the trailing arms off, hit the tree front on and the top went over my head, the trunk under the car after taking out the rad and other bits and pieces and ended up perfectly parked in a pub car park. Damaged every panel, twisted the chassis and all sorts of things. I was unscathed.
Should have been crushed or broken but somebody bought it and repaired it. Seen it a couple of times now.
