S3C ali rad to fit and decat pipes plus rear shocks wanted.
Discussion
Hi all
My S3C cats have started to make a fairly grotty rattling sound, I think it's the end if the road for them now.... Time for a de-cat methinks....
I've had a good search of all of the obvious sources and can't seem to find anyone that lists them. Does anyone know where I may be able to find such a thing, either new or good used? If not then I do have the gear to make my own, it is just the time that is lacking at the moment!
Also, my car (which I have owned for around a month now) has been fitted with a pair of Gaz adjustable shocks on the front but the rears are standard and pretty soggy. Does anyone have a pair of Gaz adjustable (spring pan and bump/rebound) shocks and springs that are no longer required? If not then I'll buy a car set and the fronts on my car will be up for grabs!
Just a note to say that I have just bought a Radtec ali radiator for the S3 to replace the aged original and it is definately up to their usual high quality standards, I would highly recommend one if anyone is looking for a new rad.
I'll be mounting a pair of fans on the back of mine before it goes in, I've had no overheating problems (even in the Goodwood FOS traffic in very hot conditions last weekend) but will be doing a few thousand miles round France later in the year so would rather take the belt and braces approach...
Thanks in advance for any help
Cheers
Gregg

Don't scrap the old one someone may be interested in it to get a re-core.Just a note to say that I have just bought a Radtec ali radiator for the S3 to replace the aged original and it is definately up to their usual high quality standards, I would highly recommend one if anyone is looking for a new rad.
The bypass is 16mm and passes a lot of water through the swirpot and into the top of the rad. Mine is now plumbed over to a tee branch brazed into the steel pipe section of the bottom hose. Warms up quick and runs at the same temperature all year round. (a bit like a normal car)
