Under-bonnet heat shield

Now that the exhaust manifold has been restored and re-fitted I need to source some under-bonnet heat shield. Can anyone recommend a product or is it just a case of buying some straight off the net if they are all much of a muchness.

The stuff I linked to in the post above is a thin foil/fabric like sheet.

Way back in 2009 myself ans two others bought a sheet of Vibrasorb between us, never heard again from the one guy but us other two both ended up binning it because it wouldn't stay stuck !

Visions of it jamming throttle or wrapping itself all around the fan belt were not ideal.

Noise Killer couldn't understand why we had a problem ( yes, I had cleaned the surface meticulously and roughed up with sandpaper) however they did provide a sample of some "super sticky stuff" but by then I'd lost interest and decided to go bare

This was Philpott's lead that I was following clicky
The material is flexible enough to form itself around 3D curves and needs to be hemmed, glued and riveted for best effect. I'm in the process of sorting this so haven't actually used the stuff yet but it's worth giving the guy a call to discuss.

I could also do with some of this material. The original shield finally fell off under the bonnet yesterday, it had been hanging on by it's fingernails for a long time.

Just ordered the heat shield as per oldgeebee's link.

I had a good chat with the seller and although it may be a bit overspec for what is required I'm happy with his advice and tips.
