Lost use of the clutch today, the pedal worked its way down to the floor and then wouldn't disengage the clutch. Fortunately I had just arrived home when it gave up completely. As the slave cylinder is only a couple of months old I reckoned it must be the master cylinder even though that too had had new seals 18 months ago. Stripped it down and found the return spring had broken into 3 pieces. After a bit of a rummage in the garage junk I managed to find another spring of exactly the same size. Built it back up and it's now fine.

I had exactly the same on my S2 about 7 years ago! the only time it ever let me down and had to be recovered. Luckily I got it into the carpark of a large country hotel to wait for AA so sat in the bar :-)
