Monkeys!! or if you want something doing right....
Discussion
A little bit of a rant I am afraid.. I usually use a local garage to do non specialised work on my TVR as working full time, away a lot and having 3 kids etc etc I just don't get much free time.
So just replaced the old rad (leaking) with a lovely new Radtech item I was absolutly mortified to see how it had been fitted..

As you will see above the 10mm mounting points (bottom of rad) were hanging in free..!

The entire weight of rad and water etc was secured solidly to the top brackets using just the 2, 6mm bolts..
As always I said any probs let me know, also let me know if you need parts.. no calls it was all good apparently.
Just how long wold this have lasted on our pot holded roads I don't know but not very long would be my guess..
Anyhow fell out with garage and decided to do a proper job.. it appears TVR used solid mounts and some small grommets.. still not good.
So here is my solution and pretty pleased with it I am too.

Top hat grommets for the bottom pins.. 15mm x 30mm M6 M-F vibration mounts for the top with a few rubber washers and SS washers and bolts for good measure.
Can't seem to upload more pics will post again..

If you want someting done right, do it your self
Where did you find the alu-rad and how much did it cost?
It's a radtech item available direct or from Tim at Act who always provides top service £395 + the vat and a bit extra for the twin fans. These need a relay btw.

Philpot that's interesting.. It does look like a 15mm difference in top mount height. I'm glad I managed to find something to make up the gap..
that said even to a non tvr specialist there is no was how it was fitted should have been acceptable.
all sorted now so on to the next job..
cheers
