Hi,

The S is due an MOT on Friday so I though I'd do a few pre-MOT checks. This has showed that when the hazard button is pushed only the lights on the drivers side flash. None of the ones on the passenger side flash.

When I use the indicator stalk the lights flash as expected. Please can someone let me know the places to check for this fault.

On a second (probably unrelated issue)...The car started idling rough on Sunday with the idle speed falling to 600rpm. Driving the beast was fine. As I have had problems with the connections to the AFMs I thought I'd give those a clean as a first port of call. This has been done but now the car is even worse and sometimes cuts out within a few seconds of starting. If it sounds like its going to cut out giving it a rev will settle the idle for a few seconds. I've wiggled a few connectors around the top of the engine and nothing seemed to make any difference.

I still suspect AFM connections...can anyone let me know where I can buy some new plugs for these? anything else I should check?

Thanks - any help appreciated.

Ralph

For the indicators check the indicator switch connections - pull the connectors off and put them back on. Try the hazard switch button lots of times as the contacts may have a bit of corrosion.
There is a relay above the steering column - bright orange on the V8S and elegantly stuffed uo there.
Put an indicator on and find the ticking relay, pull the connector off and put it back on to see if it makes any difference.
If you get nowhere I suspect the indicator arm switch first but the best test is to try another.
