I'd recommend the 2 man attempt first too

With restricted length in my garage I sometimes gently nudge the back wall and this moves the whole bonnet back a touch making opening a little more difficult, but an assistant pulling lever while pulling bonnet towards front and up usually does the trick. I am considering putting a loop of cord under the dash to hold the lever in the "pulled" position incase I am caught short alone.

Mine got stuck on passenger side, so i closed it and pressed down on it half a dozen times, went to release it and if by magic it opened normallyclap It's been opening normally since.

Put a tennis ball on your loop of cord and hang it from the garage roof so it gently nudges your windscreen when you are one inch away from the wall...

Have fun,
Graham

Next time, get a spanner (17 eu size), and move nuts on bonnet hinge.
